John Yeon (1910-1994) worked for the firm of A.E. Doyle & Associates and is credited, along with Pietro Belluschi, with the development of the Northwest Regional Style of architecture. He designed the Wentz Studio in Neahkahnie, Oregon. His other notable buildings include the Watzek House in Southwest Portland (1937), Shaw House, and Swan House. Marian Wood Kolisch (1920-2008) was the granddaughter of Portland, Oregon, artist, lawyer, and civic leader C. E. S. Wood. She was married to attorney Pierre Kolisch and had three children. In the early 1970s she began studying photography with Ansel Adams, and went on to create noted portraits of well-known Oregon figures.
